OK, I should have written this long ago so first of all I apologize to Michael Brandon (founder, organizer and host) for delaying so long. I had spoken to him right after the party and told him I would get it written as soon as I could. But (A) I've been really busy and (B) I'm a severe procrastinator (it's mostly B).

The INAppropriate Party is the last party of the Bad Boys Pool Party Week-end in Palm Springs. Held this year at the Ambiente/Black Palm Inn in Cathedral City, the IBP is basically a lot of gay men getting together to have or watch others in a no-attitude-allowed setting of sun and fun. Although it was 110 degrees that day, the Inn put up awnings and a misting system to keep things a little cool. But with over 300 gay men running around in various states of undress, it was, at best, a valiant effort.

But the party isn't totally for fun and games (mostly,though). Serving up cocktails was the GayVets of Palm Springs, who raised over $2000 in donations for the "March on Washington" fund.

The event started a little slow, but soon, with help from Tag Adams (so adorable!), Michael Soldier, Jay Black, Dillon Press, and many others, there were small groupings of men all over the courtyard enjoying the freedom of the day. And each other. There was so much action going on it was impossible to see it all. And I tried.

Of course, I could never forget to mention Michael Brandon. One of the friendliest, warmest, most outgoing people I've met, Michael kept moving around the property, keeping things going, joining in, lending a helping hand (or tongue or cock, whatever was needed). He was even kind enough to come to the aid of one man who couldn't find anyone to tie him to the St. Andrew's cross and spank him. I'll tell you, Michael is such a giver.

And not all the sex involved porn stars. Some of the hottest was from regular guys just getting down and dirty wherever they could. Towels were spread all over the place to keep grass stains off knees and backs. There were men of all ages, color, ethnicity, and body type, and absolutely NO bad attitude whatsoever.

Keeping things fun, throughout the day Michael and Tag (besides trying their best to MEAT everyone they could that day) also held various contests. Proudest Cock, Perkiest Booty, and Longest Tongue were definitely crowd-pleasers.

I did happen to miss Michael's final performance at the sling as I couldn't get through the crowd that had built up. I understand it was quite the show. But you can get a better account than I could ever give from Michael's point of view at his website (see below).

The whole day was a lot of fun and let me just say I can't wait to go back in '05. So until then, Michael, thanks and see you next year.
